We can expand on the uncontested dynamic warm up passing drill we showed earlier (click here to view) by adding defenders.
Set up a 30×20 yard grid using 8 cones as seen below.
The attackers (blue team) play 10v4 with two touches allowed per player. After making a pass, the passer must sprint around one of the cones before returning to the grid.
If the defending team (red team) wins the ball, they will attempt to keep it as long as possible. They have no touch limit, and do not have to sprint around a cone after making a pass.
Play for three minutes and then swap in four new defenders.
