Soccer Dribbling Drills

End zones

Two teams send out one player each to a 15x10 yard area with 2 yard end zones at each end. The coach serves the ball between the players. The players work to get the ball, beat their opponent on the dribble and stop the ball in the end zone.

Switch roles after a loss of possession. If the ball goes out of the grid, restart with a new ball. Switch to a new pair of players after a goal or 1 minute.

Keep Away

Every player except two will start with a ball inside of the penalty area. On your signal they will begin dribbling within the area while the two outside players come in and try to take the ball away.

The two defenders will try to knock each players ball out of the box. When a player loses his ball, he must retrieve it and juggle while the game continues. Continue until there are just two players left with a ball. They will become the defenders for the next round of play.

Receive & Turn

Two Players will play 1 vs 1 in a 20x10 yard grid. There will be a neutral player on each end line. Players score by receiving the ball from a neutral player, turning with the ball and completing a pass to the neutral player on the other side.

Switch roles after possession is lost. After one minute, have the neutrals switch places with the players in the middle. Being able to make a quick turn is on the soccer dribbling techniques that every player must master.
