Is Bob Bradley really the problem with US Soccer?
This morning I read a blog post on US Soccer Daily discussing the continued disquiet about the whole Jurgen Klinsmann/Bob Bradley coaching selection process. Credit to Bradley for taking the high road and just getting about the business of coaching the team.
Many US National Team fans have bashed Bradley for his lack of scoring punch as a coach. I believe that the real problem can’t be solved at the national level, but is a result of things happening at the youth developmental level.
Too many of our youth coaches are worried more about results than player development. Creativity, imagination and individual skill on the ball (all key components to success in the final third) are consistently downplayed in favor of fitness, speed and power.
Coaches are always yelling at players to play it safe, instead of taking risks in the penalty area. Something as simple as selecting quality soccer drills at a young age can go a long way toward improving our players in the future.

Yes. Absolutely Bradley is the problem. USMNT has lost a lot of support in the soccer community with this decision. We can’t stand dull, boring Bob. Especially another 4 years with him. Gulati and USSF should have hired Klinsmann. He is the overwhelming fan favorite. Soccer would have received way more media attention with him as coach. And isn’t that what Gulati said he wanted during the WC?
Bradley is a moron that needs to be fired, as well as Gulati. We will not rest until this is done. No matter how much USSF wishes all this contraversy go away. They unleashed a firestorm, and now they have to live with it.
